USET Foundation Awards Amanda Warrington Fund Grant To Robyn
Fisher GLADSTONE, NJJune 18, 2004The United
States Equestrian Team (USET) Foundation has awarded the Amanda Warrington Fund
Grant for 2004 to Robyn Fisher of Rohnert Park, CA. The Grant is
made available to Eventing riders who participate in the United States Equestrian
Federation, Inc. (USEF) Eventing Developing Rider program. The Grant comes from
a fund established by the family of the late Eventing rider Amanda Warrington.
Fisher, 24, won the Galway Downs International Horse Trial CIC*** this past March
on her horse Le Samurai. She and Le Samurai also won the CCI** at Galway Downs
last October. Fisher participated in the USEF Developing Rider Training
Session with 2002 World Equestrian Games team Gold Medalist Kim Severson
at Galway Downs last spring. Fisher was chosen by a three-member panel consisting
of Peter Green, Chairman of the USEF Eventing Selectors; Kim Severson,
USEF Developing Rider Coach; and Dan Warrington, representing the Warrington
family. Robyn will receive a grant of $5,000 to help offset training expenses.
The USET Foundation supports the competition, training, coaching, travel
and educational needs of Americas elite and developing International High
Performance horses and athletes in partnership with the U.S. Equestrian Federation.
