Rocking Horse Winter I Horse Trials, February 6 - 8, 2004

The three Divisions of O/I were won by Buck Davidson and Idalgo (34.50) from Heather Morris and Rebel Express (34.50), both finished on their Dressage score; Karen O'Connor riding Grand Slam (40.00) from Darren Chiacchia with Power TY (41.70); and Karen O'Connor with Bally Mar (37.90) from Bruce Davidson and Memorial Cap (41.00). Jennifer Libby and Draco won the Young Riders O/I. (Karen and Grand Slam are pictured at right jumping into the water at Over The Walls, last summer.)

Sabrina Morris with Time For One More won the Intermediate.

The three Divisions of O/P were won by Werner Geven (NED) with On The Touch (34.40); Mike Winter (CAN) and Wonderful Will (34.00); Penny Rowland (CAN) riding Windswept (29.00). Katherine Hodges won the Junior Young Rider O/P riding Crescent..

In his first competition after he broke an ankle and a wrist at the Fair Hill International CCI***, last October, David O'Connor rode Dunstan Celtic, who had been the faller at Fair Hill, to 10th place in O/I Division "A" (31.00 for 2nd after Dressage; 19.60 faults on XC for 50.60 and 9th place; and one rail SJ for 54.60 and 10th place). He also rode Courting Danger in the "A" Section to win the Dressage on 28.50. Courting Danger was withdrawn prior to XC and SJ.

In the "B" Section, David rode Clifton Say What to 11th place. (38.5 for 11th after Dressage; 30.40 faults XC for 12th place; and 3 faults SJ for 71.90 and 11th place). Clifton Say What is the former ride of New Zealand's Andrew Scott. Say What finished 9th at the Adelaide CCI****, in 2001, with Scott.

In the "C" Division David rode Outlawed (33.50 in Dressage for = 4th; 20.80 faults XC for 54.30, 8th place; and one rail in SJ for 38.30 and 8th place); and Persistant Rain (28.50 in Dressage for 2nd place; 38.00 faults XC for 13th; and 6 faults SJ for 72.50 and 16th place.)
