Bachman and Gryffinder led from flag fall to that's all to win the CCI-***-W,
a member of the USEA Gold Cup Series, inspite of having two rails down for 8 faults
in the Show Jumping Phase. Bachman's final score was 60.0. Gina
Miles and McKinlaigh, who had been second throughout, maintained that position,
while toting up 12 faults over Sally Ike's Show Jumping Course. Their final score
was 67.4. This pair placed 3rd at the first FEI Eventing World Cup Final, held
at Pau, France in 2003. Laura
Whitlock and Kipling, 5th after Dressage and 3rd after Cross Country, also had
12 Show Jumping faults; but, managed
to hold on to 3rd place, on a score of 73.0. Others

Bachman and Gryffinder continue to lead the CCI***-W after the Cross Country Phase.
Gryffinder jumped clean but picked up 4.4 time faults for a two phase score of
52.0. Gina Miles and McKinlaigh narrowed the gap to 3.2 faults, less than one
railin the Show Jumping, with a clear run and only 1.6 time faults. Lauren
Whitlock climbed onto the Leader Board with a double clear Cross Country, riding
Kipling, good for third place on a score of 60.0. Others

Release from the Event at Rebecca Farm At
approximately 3:30 pm today, Cindy Burge, a 41 year old experienced rider from
Spokane, Washington competing in Open preliminary Division B at the Event at Rebecca
Farm, was crittcally injured in a fall. On the Cross Country course between fences
16 and 17, her horse Lucky Stripe, ran into a Barley field and lost his footing,
rolling on his rider. A
paramedic nurse at the site administered immediate medical aid. The competition
Safety Officer, Marty Boehme, and EMS staff arrived immediately to assess the
situation and called ALERT medivac. Within 22 minutes, she was transported to
Kalispell Regional Medical Center. She has since been moved to a trauma unit in
Missoula, Montana for further evaluation, The
Competition Veterinarian, Dr. Rich Sylvester, examined Lucky Stripe and found
no apparent injuries. As
more information becomes available, this bulletin will be updated. Reported

the CIC***-W, Kristin Bachmann and Gryffindor (47.6) lead Gina Miles and McKinlaigh
(53.8) by 6.3 faults. Gina place third in the World Cup Final, at Pau, in France,
in 2003. Frederic

* * * * * * * The event at Rebecca Farm, Kalispell, Montana (USA)
is part of the 2004 FEI Eventing World Cup calendar. It is also one of seven selected
events for the United States Eventing Association (USEA) Gold Cup Series. Dressage
will start at 16h20 on Friday 23 July. Cross Country will be held on Saturday
24 July from 13h00 to 14h00 and will be followed by Show Jumping on Sunday. Rebecca
Broussard, owner of the facilities and organiser of the show, has been involved
in Eventing in the state of Montana and the US West Coast since 1985. She was
the President of the local Combined Training Association, Area VII Young Rider
Coordinator and organiser of the Herron Park Horse Trials for 17 years. Rebecca
became a board member and the sponsor hostess for the North American Young Rider
Championship in 1999. In 2001, she was awarded the Governor's Cup for her outstanding
contribution to the sport of Eventing. For the last six years, she has been a
member of the USEA Board of Governors and is currently a trustee of the USEA Endowment
Foundation. Rebecca Broussard also owns several upper level horses. *
