eventingetc has received the following note
from Bonnie Mosser, written on Wednesday June 15th:
Hi
Everyone,
Okay, the site is beautiful. After our riders briefing we all
hit the cross country course. It all looks 3'11". Good gallops not too technical
at the beginning; but, at minute 9 you better have some horse left. The waters
are tough. The spreads are wide, the track seems fast; but, I sure want to get
home.
We
had our first horse inspection at 5:30 pm. All the American horses passed. Only
one SWE horse did not represent after being held. So on to tomorrow. (Bonnie
and Jenga are pictured at the left in the Dressage at
Foxhall CCI***.)
I am the lead off rider for the USA. I go at 14:48. I am the seventh horse to
start. Jenga has been going well and so far I have been relaxed. It has been a
great group to travel with so far. Many new faces have arrived today. Jan's parents
are here as well as Will Coleman's. Tom, Becky's husband surprised her at the
jog today. I saw him before she did. Peter Green arrived after a long day of bad
airline service. I do look forward to seeing Ed, Bea, my sister Margaret and her
kids tomorrow.
WOW! I cannot believe the competition will
begin tomorrow and I am in Germany with all my friends. The team process has been
such a good thing so far. Having the resources to go to when you need a little
reassurance or vet advise. I will fill you in more about the course tomorrow when
I have the map in front of me. The food is great as well as the beer.
Cheers, Bonnie
