About Us
Beale Wright Morris

Beale Wright Morris, of Middleburg, VA, died suddenly, in hospital, early on March 23, 2005. Beale was 34 years old. The cause of death is unknown.

Beale was a well known event rider, who finished both the Rolex-Kentucky CCI*** and the Burghley CCI*** several times. Her best know advanced horse was Pathfinder, who placed third in the three star at Lexington, in 1998. Beale's most notable recent finish was third at the Morven CCI* last fall, riding In The Loop.

Beale is survived by her husband, Neil Morris, the fifth leading steeplechase trainer, in the USA, according to the National Steeplechase Association standings for 2004. Neil trains for Kinross Farm, which was the NSA leading Owner, in 2004; and by one son, Wright Morris, who is one year old.

Beale is also survived by her parents, Dr. and Mrs. William "Bud" Wright of Chesapeake City, MD; by one sister, Lucy who had her first child, a daughter, the day after Beale's death - child has been named for Beale; and by her grandmother, Mrs Richard C. duPont, the owner of the great handicap gelding Kelso, as well as many other stakes winners - Mrs. duPont races under the name Bohemia Stable.

A service for Beale will be held at Grace Church, The Plains, VA on Wednesday, March 30 at 3:00 PM. There will be a reception immediately following at the Church Parish House.

Donations may be made to MidAtlanticHorseRescue.org.
