After attending the Toyota Blue Grass Stakes at Keeneland, in Lexington, Kentucky, a visit was paid to the Kentucky Horse Park to have a look at the Cross Country Course for the Rolex Kentucky CCI****, to be held April 26 - 30, 2006.

Each day from Thursday, April 20th onward a new picture of a single fence or a new set of pictures from a complex will be posted.

Below is Thursday's series of pictures from The Head of The Lake:

Above is the entire complex from the take off side. Of course the complex has not yet been flagged so the exact routes are not yet certain. It will be noted that the lake is to the right of the complex; hence, the complex will be jumped in the opposite direction form that in 2005. It appears that the short and more difficult route will be down the left sideown the left side.

Above is a close up of the large corner which very likely will be the last portion of the left hand route. In the top picture, it is behind the two ducks at the left.\

Above is a close up of the alternate table which very likely will be the the last portion of the right hand route. It is situated over a small revetted ditch. In the top picture it is behind the single duck on the right hand side.

Another complex or a single fence will be available on Friday.
