Another perfect day greeted competitors at the Pine Top Srring Horse trials in Thomson, Georgia - cloudless skies, brilliant sunshine and temperatures in the high 60's.

Mara Dean, the overnight leader in Advanced Test C, did not run Nicki Henley Cross Country. This left the door wide open for Kim Severson and Royal Venture, who had the second fastest time of the section after Nathalie Pollard and West Farthing, who finished on their Dressage score. Kim also placed second in the Section with her Athens Individual Silver Medal ride and 2005 Rolex Kentucky CCI**** winner Winsome Adante.
