About Us
Rocking Horse Winter II, February 21, 2006

Bruce Davidson, Leslie Law and Buck Davidson
Win Sections of Advanced

Bruce Davidson, of Unionville, PA, twice Eventing World Champion, rode his own Jam, who had won the prize for the best mare at the Fair Hill International CCI*** last fall, to win Advanced Test A-A at Rocking Horse Winter II, on Tuesday. The Advanced sections at Rocking Horse were the first in the United States for the 2006 season. Jam had one rail in show jumping and ran a double clear on Cross Country. (Bruce and Jam are pictured at the right jumping The Loons at the Fair Hill International CCI*** last October.) Jessica Keiner placed second in the Section and although she finished on her Dressage score with My Boy Bobby the pair were unable to overcome a tie for sixteenth place in Dressage.

Leslie Law, Great Britain's reigning Olympic Individual Gold Medalist, also ran a double clear Cross Country with his Athens ride Shear L'Eau. This propelled the pair to the top spot ahead of Darren Chiacchia and Windfall, members of the USA Bronze Medal Team, in Greece. (Leslie and Shear L'Eau are pictured at the left in the Dressage phase at the Mitsubishi Motors Badminton Horse Trials last May.) The American duo had led through Dressage and Show Jumping; however, 6.8 time faults on Cross Country dropped them to second place behind the British pair.

Buck Davidson and Idalgo pulled one rail in Show Jumping and scored a double clear on Cross Country to win Advanced Test A-C. Buck had the best score in the Dressage phase with Janis Smith's and Cassandra Segal's 10 year old gelding and was able to hold off the challenge of Kristen Bond and Blackout who also ran a double clear on Cross Country. (Buck and Idalgo are pictured at the right below crossing the water after the Loons at the Fair Hill International CCI***, last October.)
