Blenheim CCI*** Friday Dressage

Only two changes took place in the top fourteen rankings after the Lunch Break. William Fox-Pitt became the third member of the British Silver Medal Team at the Aachen WEG last week to place high at Blenheim., (William and Tamarillo placed 15th individually, in Germany.) Parkmore Ed belongs to American Philip Adkins and placed second at Bramham in 2004. William previously has placed first with Stunning and second with Tamarillo at Blenheim in 2000.*

Rodney Powell and Zinzan II were the other pairing to get into the top fourteen. They landed in eleventh place, just behind Amy Tryon and Le Samurai..

At the lunch break on Friday, the second day of Dressage at the Blenheim CCI***, Great Britain's Pippa Funnel retained her first place position with Ensign.

Jo May, a 37 year old riding instructor and livery yard owner who placed at Boekelo in 2004*, and Faere Vision slipped into the second position on a score of 44.0, three point six faults adrift of the overnight leaders.

Daisy Dick, who finished 12th individually, riding Spring Along, last Sunday at the World Equestrian Games and was a member of Great Britain's Silver Medal Team, in Aachen, rode Springbok IV to a score of 46.0 and third place. Springbok finished second at Windsor and completed Boekelo in 2005.* (Daisy is pictured at the right trotting up Spring Along (not Springbok) at the WEG on Wednesday, August 23rd.)

Amy Tryon, fresh from winning the Individual Bronze Medal at the World Equestrian Games, in Aachen, last Sunday, and her new ride Le Samurai tucked into ninth place on a score of 50.4, which included 2 faults for an error of course in the Dressage.

Two other Americans who travelled to England for the Blenheim CCI will have been disappointed in their low placings - Jennifer Wooten in 48th place, and Sara Dierks in 56th place.
