Tryon and her newish ride Le Samurai and Karen O'Connor riding Upstage
competed at Hartpury last weekend.
Amy
did only the Dressage (56.1) and the Show Jumping (4 faults) as a preparation
for the Blenheim CCI*** and Karen completed Hartpury in 18th place. (Karen
and Upstage are pictured at the right jumping into the Head of The Lake at Rolex
Kentucky last spring.)
A
number of competitors heading to the World Equestrian Games in Aachen, Germany
competed in the Dressage and Show Jumping. Australia's Andrew Hoy led the
Dressage with Mr. Pracatan on 43.1 and had three rails in the Show Jumping. William
Fox-Pitt (GBR) placed second after Dressage with Tamarillo on 42.4 and had
two rails in Show Jumping. Zara Phillips (GBR) was fourth after Dressage
on 43.4 and had two rails in the Show Jumping. Oliver Townend (GBR) rode
Topping (not his WEG ride) to a 53.5 Dressage score with only one rail in the
Show Jumping. None of these ran Cross Country.
