Amy Tryon Case

FEI HEARING SCHEDULED FOR TRYON CASE

The International Equestrian Federation (FEI) responded on June 1, 2007 to a request from event rider, Amy Tryon, from Duvall, WA, for a hearing on the case of alleged abuse involving La Samurai at the Rolex Kentucky CCI**** in Lexington, KY, on April 28, 2007. The hearing has been set for June 25, 2007 at the FEI headquarters in Lausanne, Switzerland.

Le Samurai sustained an injury before the final fence on cross-country and finished the course but was euthanized later in the week after losing the support of the ligaments in his near fore fetlock. The FEI tribunal has received the official reports and video footage of the incident from the event.

Tryon had the option for her case to be heard by a panel of the FEI tribunal, which was formed to address the issue.
