Friday,
May 9 - Second Day of Dressage

Friday
was a horrid day! Rain, Rain and more rain! Cold, cold and more cold - temperatures
in the very low fifties.
Only
three competitors from the eighteen Friday entries made it into the top nine (with
ties).
Karen O'Connor and Mandiba had a lovely test despite the elements
and
slipped into third place behind the over night leader Leslie Law and behind her
other horse Allstar. (Karen and Mandiba are pictured at the right. Notice the
slop in the all weather ring.)
Allison
Springer, the first of the Friday riders in the CCI*** scored 49.6 with Destination
Known, good for fifth place going into Saturday's Cross Country.
Sara Dierks
and Somerset II landed in a tie for ninth place on a score of 52.4.
