The
Final Veterinary Examination
Kelly
Prather's horse Ballinkill Glory was not passed.
Oliver
Townend's horse, ODT Master Rose, which complete the Cross Country course before
Oli's fall with Ashdale Cruise Master, was not presented. Oli is still in hospital,
though he is expected to be released today. He is reported to have broken ribs
and therefore cannot fly for several days. This puts the possibility that he will
be able to ride at Badminton in serious jeopardy.
On
a lighter note regarding Oliver Townend, Janet Patton, reporting for the Lexington
Herald Leader, wrote, "...he is known as a hard riding heartthrob
from Huddersfield."
Thirty-eight
horses go forward to the Show Jumping Phase which begins at a few minutes after
twelve noon on Sunday.
