New Inductees to USEA Hall of Fame


Competitors and Organizers

Bruce Davidson winner of two Olympic Team Gold Medals in 1976 and 1984; two Olympic Team Silver Medals in 1972 and 1996; winner of Team and Individual Silver Medals at the Mexico City Pan American Games in 1975; and winner of Individual Gold Medal and Team Silver Medal at the 1995 Pan American Games in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Bruce won the Rolex Kentucky competition six times and was the first American rider to win the (Mitsubishi Motors) Badminton CCI****. (Bruce is pictured at the right on Jam at the 2009 Fair Hill International CCI****, The pair is jumping a skinny in the water.)

Kevin Freeman - represented the USA at the Olympic Games in 1964, 1968 and 1972, where he was a member of the USA Silver Medal Team. He also won Individual Gold at the 1963 Pan American Games in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Denis Glaccum organizer of the Plantation Field Horse Trials and former organizer at Chesterland, Fair Hill and Menfelt.

David O'Connor - Individual Golf Medalist at the 2000 Olympic games in Sydney Australia and 1997 Winner of Badminton CCI**** and third there in 1995. President of the US Equestrian Federation for the past seven years.

Eileen Thomas - former Executive Director of the United States Combined Training Association and Chief Scorer at The Rolex Kentucky CCI****.


Horses

Custom Made - David O'Connor's mount when that pair won the first US Olympic Individual Gold Medal of modern times, in Sydney, Australia in 2,000 - owned by Ms. Jacqueline Mars; also David's winning mount at the 1997 Badminton Horse Trials.

Good Mixture - Kevin Freeman's Olympic Team ride at the 1972 Games in Munich, Germany. In 1974 Good Mixture was ridden by J. Michael Plumb, a USEA Hall of Fame Member since 2003, to the Team Gold Medal and the Individual Silver Medal at the World Championships, held at Burghley, in England.

Irish Cap - double Gold Medal ride for Bruce Davidson at the 1974 World Championships at Burghley as well as third place at the (Mitsubishi Motors) Badminton Horse Trials that same year.
