Competitor Briefing and Horse Inspection
Changed at Rolex Kentucky Three-Day Event Presented by Bridgestone
LEXINGTON, KENTUCKY—April 26, 2011—Officials of the Rolex Kentucky Three-Day Event Presented by Bridgestone have announced a change in times for Wednesday’s Competitor Briefing and Horse Inspection.
Because of a forecast of possible inclement weather on Wednesday afternoon, the Horse Inspection is now scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday with the Competitor Briefing at 1:00 p.m. The locations remain the same.
“While the forecast is for beautiful weather here for Thursday through Sunday, they are forecasting the possibility of storms on Wednesday afternoon,” said Christina Gray, Director of Competition. “It seems clear to us that the safest and most prudent thing is to hold the Horse Inspection earlier so that there is no worry about a disruption.”
The 2011 Rolex Kentucky Three-Day Event Presented by Bridgestone runs Thursday through Sunday at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington. Full information is available on the event’s website at www.RK3DE.org.
Editor's Note: The weather in Lexington on Wednesday has been horrible! A tornado Warning was in effect until 9:15 AM with the Trot up scheduled for 10:00 AM. More tornado watches and warnings are in effect for the late afternoon. Thursday is predicted to have less severe weather, though it may rain in the morning.
The first four competitors scheduled for Thursday are Allison Springer (10:00 AM); James Alliston (GBR) 10:08 AM; Phillip Dutton (10:16 AM; and Mary King (GBR) 10:24 AM.
Phillip's second horse Truluck does not appear on the Start List.
