Boyd Martin wins 2003 Mitsubishi Adelaide CCI**** International Horse Trials

A relative equestrian newcomer 24-year-old Boyd Martin has overcome a more experienced field to win the 2003 Mitsubishi Adelaide CCI**** International Horse Trials.

Boyd Martin, from New South Wales, who ended on 52.40 penalty points, was the overnight leader on True Blue Toozac. (Martin and Toozac, 10th after the Dressage Phase, had the fastest Cross Country round picking up only .04 of a time fault.) Martin took the winner’s title over Sydney 2000 Olympic (Team) Gold Medallist Stuart Tinney, on Jeepster, with 57.60 penalty points. (Tinney and Jeepster had 12.4 time faults on the Cross Country.)

Martin is the youngest rider to have won the Mitsubishi Adelaide International Horse Trials.
